We both know you can’t, because this…you and me…this is all that matters.” Tell me you don’t feel anything when you’re with me.

He is also hotter than all hell, and totally swoony. Warm, compassionate, freer, he is committed to helping Kate find the answers she is looking for. He is angry, hurt and full of fear, but from the moment the connection between he and Kate is made, he becomes a different man. The story is told in dual POV, so we know what they’re both experiencing and where they are both at, and I thought that Ryan’s story, particularly, was told really well. Kate and Ryan have both been through so much, and their coming together isn’t easy, but the way it’s done, and the emotions they experience along the way are completely, heartachingly, understandable. But as intense as the interactions are, they’re realistic. OMG, the feeeeels! I think I actually stopped breathing a few times during this book I was so caught up in the awesome. My heart was pounding through a huge portion of this book, and the big emotional scenes are beautifully played out. Seriously love it! There were things that I expected, and others that were a big surprise, but I was mesmerised the whole way through. When Kate’s search for answers forces her to cross paths with Ryan, their chemistry-laden encounter will change their lives in ways they never imagined possible. But he, too, is living a less than satisfying life, having never recovered from the death of his wife and the love of his life, Annie, five years ago. Ryan is rich, handsome, wildly successful, and a single father to a precociously adorable daughter. Her world comes crashing around her when her husband is killed and while going through his paperwork she discovers that her life, and all that she had been told since waking up, is a lie. She is married with a young son, she has friends, but she is living a life that is less than satisfying. I can’t really say much about the storyline, because a big part of this book is the mystery, with twists and turns all over the place, and my inner conspiracy theorist was going crazy! But it’s also a story about family and, of course, there is a beautiful love story, and that was something incredibly special!Īfter a tragic accident, Kate woke from a coma 18 months ago unable to remember anything of her life before that time. I don’t read a lot of romantic suspense, but it’s been sitting on my kindle forever and I randomly started reading it today and couldn’t put it down.
